Dee Green draws her inspiration from the Olympic Peninsula. As an artist she feels it is an obligation to be inspired all of the time. Although primarily a pastelist, Dee considers herself an adventurer in that she enjoys experimenting with different mediums. After a quick value study, Dee chooses the medium that will best fit the mood she wants the viewer to feel.

For over 30 years Dee has done portraits in oil. She is a accomplished stain glass artist. Since retiring, Dee has also become a silk artist and quilt designer. She strives to convey her love of color in all her work. Dee has received awards for her work in local exhibitions.

"Art is a way of communication my feelings. Like a pictorial journal, painting allows me to imagine a story and tell it on canvas."-Dee Green

Dee Green is presently showing her work in the Waterfront Gallery in Port Angeles, WA.
Also, for the month of June, her work will be on display at the Fifth Avenue Gallery in Sequim.
